It’s April, and we’re still enjoying some mild spring weather here in southwest Florida. We haven’t gotten to summer temperatures yet, so you’re probably not thinking about your air conditioning as much as you will come June.
But here’s the thing: You should be.
Here’s what happens every summer, and I’m speaking from firsthand experience: People use their AC intermittently throughout the spring. Then the summer temps hit and suddenly their poor old unit is trying to crank against 90-degree days with intense humidity. The AC is running nonstop, in part because it’s so inefficient.
And then it happens. Inevitably, it’s early in the early evening on a Friday or Saturday, after the AC has been straining all day long. Then boom: It’s done. The whole thing stops working.
And the homeowner might think it’s manageable at first, because at that hour the day’s temps are cooling off. But then you wake up on a hot, sticky weekend morning and it just gets worse from there.
Here’s what you’re facing: Several days with no air, profit losses on your rental properties, expensive after-hours calls, higher costs for quick turnarounds, all at a time of year when AC service and parts are highest in-demand.
Worse still, a year of Covid-19 has thrown a wrench in our supply chain. That means replacement parts will be even harder to come by this summer, so your system will take that much longer to fix or replace.
Here at Air America, we pride ourselves on doing our best to quickly resolve emergencies. But we can’t handle everyone at once, and you don’t want to go a second more than you have to without AC in Florida summer. But if you wait until June/July/August for your AC to give up entirely, you could be stuck for several days. It’s incredibly uncomfortable to go without AC in the Sarasota-Manatee summer, and it can even be dangerous.
It doesn’t have to be like this.
Right now, while you’ve got the time, and before our busiest part of the season hits, schedule an appointment with Air America. All of your AC needs can be met right now, at your convenience. It’s a much easier, more comfortable, more affordable way to do it.
